DRC has been operating in the Middle East (ME) region for over a decade, running a combination of emergency, livelihood, protection and advocacy programmes through Country Offices (COs) in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey with a Regional Office (RO) in Amman.

Throughout its nine field offices and a workforce of 450 staff, DRC upholds its main programmatic objectives to provide immediate and life sustaining assistance, to strengthen the protective environment, and to reduce displacement related risks and vulnerabilities by promoting self-reliance at household and community level.
About the job
The Finance Intern will facilitate the efficient and effective financial operation of DRC field office. He/She will ensure compliance with DRC rules and regulations as described in the Operations Handbook (OH) alongside donor policies, procedures, guidelines and rules.
She/he will seek and receive policy guidance/ instructions and support from Team Leader on his/her responsibilities.
Geographic scope: Country (Yemen – Aden)
The duty station of the finance Intern will be based in Aden with possibility to move to the field frequently and other offices for support if needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Intern will be responsible but not limited to:
- Receiving distributions vouchers such as food vouchers, cash distributions documents, NFI kit distributions, …. etc
- Making paid stamp, photocopying, scanning all the payments and supporting documents.
- Responsible for archiving and organizing well documented files (all files must be labled accurately and visibly)and sequential filling system for all payment and uploading all the documents scanned in (OneDrive)dynamics upload.
- Receiving field offices files, verify and arrange them for auditing purposes in the archive room.
- Extracted all audit samples when requested and make them ready for the auditors.
- Frequent visit to the bank.
- Translate expenditures report supporting documents (invoices/receipts/requests/delivery notes/others) to English.
- Keep in high confidentially all the information related to his/her position and the information accessed in virtue of his/her position in the organization.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplished related results as needed.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Other:
- Will adhere to all Local Safety Rules and approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), to ensure the safe and secure implementation of activities for staff, stakeholders, and partners.
- Is responsible for ensuring that all subordinates fully understand and abide by Local Safety Rules, approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety incident reporting practices.
- Any other relevant task as may be assigned by the supervisor and Support Service Manager.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/Finance
- Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Advance English.

Languages:
- Fluency in English language (written and spoken).
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Fluency in Arabic language (written and spoken).
We offer
DRC will offer the successful applicant a 3-month, contract renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work As soon as possible, and be willing and able to work in Aden.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment, and will be reporting to Finance Team Leader.
